Don't fear Fido!
We often have questions about what sort of rugs are best for a home with pets. Well the short answer is don't let the pet pee on the rugs. This is not practical, and my own dogs were know to relieve themselves several times before they passed away.
I would strongly suggest Polypropylene for a home with pets. Especially if it is machine woven. That way there is very little secondary backing absorb the soiling. We do offer a Wool Clean kit that has this really cool bottle of absorbent mini sponges. The sponges come in handy for this sort of situation. So when you are wondering what sort of rugs are best for a home with pets, the quick and easy answer is Polypropylene. Just try to get up any soiling as quick as possible...the urine does have acids in it that overtime can upset the texture retention (basically means the rug will start to look worn out faster).
That is all for now...short and sweet. Thanks for reading. Have a great night.
