Fall into soft warm rugs
As many of our blog entries reflect, rugs serve a greater part of the home's interior than just covering up the floors beneath them. They can act as an anchor for styling the rest of the room, a soft surface for baby to crawl on, a fashionable way to cover up unsitely carpeting, and the list goes on.
While many parts of our country are still experiencing record high temperatures (Detroit is no exception) it is inevitable that our autumn season is just around the corner. With Labor Day behind us, for those in many parts of the US, leaves will begin to turn vivid colors of crimson and the fall breezes will tug summer's creations from their limbs. So where in this natural progression do area rugs fit?
Well, I am a big fan of changing out my rugs depending on the season yet to come. As an example, just prior to the summer months, vivid rugs with floral patterns adorn many of my home's surfaces, whereas autumn months will find my floors covered in warm hues found amongst nature's most inspiring colors. Sometimes my rugs are a direct interpretation of autumn's creation such as this pattern
In other parts of my home, I may choose rugs that are not as obviously seasonal, but rather have the hues that reflect the fall season, such as this pattern from our Fashion Source series

Rugs that represent the seasons of the year continue to grow in popularity, so whether you decide to go with rugs that clearly represent the season at hand, or use the colors of the season to indirectly represent the season, trust me that it will be a decision you enjoy living with. Naturally, if we may provide any guidance just give us a shout.
Thanks again for reading!
Kindly,
Wes.
