Andy Warhol Rugs

Andy Warhol rugs are at the cutting edge of fashion. Inspired by the artwork of Andy Warhol, these rugs are updated for today with the latest colors including the very up to date black and white contemporary palette.

Selection

Our selection of Andy Warhol rugs is second to none. The Andy Warhol Home series of rugs is broken down into several categories from the more subdued Factory Series to the avant garde Pop Abstract Series. With hundreds of rug combinations to choose from, the Andy Warhol series is sure to have just the right pattern for your home. All rugs are stocked heavily in our Dalton, GA warehouse so deliveries happen quickly.

Style & Function
With Andy Warhol Home rugs, form follows function. These patterns are as stylish today as they will look new tomorrow. Nearly all these rugs are woven of 100% Heatset Polypropylene. What does this mumbo-jumbo mean to you? In short, it means that the stylish new Warhol rug you receive tomorrow will look great for years to come. Polypropylene is an advanced synthetic fiber that is nearly impossible to stain. In fact, we are so certain that you will not stain your synthetic polypropylene Andy Warhol rug that we back it with a 10 year Manufacturer's stain warranty. Please note that this warranty only applies to the polypropylene Andy Warhol rugs and is valid only if you send in the registration card upon receipt of your Andy Warhol rug.

History

Many know the story of Andy Warhol, his artistic flare is often most remembered by his signature pieces including the Campbells soup can and the timeless Marilyn Monroe portrait. But what else is Andy Warhol known for?

Andy Warhol's art transcends such things as time and place, and allows one to become creative on a level not able to be fully appreciated until the launch of the hugely popular Andy Warhol Home Collection of rugs.

Born Andrew Warhola in 1928, Andy Warhol was the leader of the art movement known as Pop Art (where our Warhol Home Pop Abstracts collection finds it's inspiration). His forethought with respect to the accessibility of fame by the common citizen is now coming to fruition with the recent popularity of sites such as YouTube and Facebook. Incredibly, many decades ago, Warhol forecast that "everyone would get 15 minutes of fame." Challenged with physical ailments as a child, Andy Warhold grew up to be a highly creative and unique individual. His belief in adulthood was that his childhood difficulties, which led him to be bedridden for significant periods of time allowed him to form the foundation of what became world renowned artwork during his adult years.

Outdoor Rugs

Outdoor rugs can add a lot of fashion to the home without too much of an expense. At Rugs To My Door, outdoor rugs are both popular and reasonably priced. When considering an outdoor rug it is important to keep in mind the sort of area your home is in. If you live in a part of the country with four distinct seasons, then it is important that our outdoor rugs be brought in during the late fall and be kept indoors for storage until early spring.

Another rule about outdoor rugs is they should always be kept relatively dry. That is to say that they should not be left on the grass in a low lying area, since the mud and standing water will cause the rug to wear out faster than it otherwise would have.

I once had some outdoor rugs on my balcony. I left them out through the winter and the result was a real bummer. When winter gave way to summer, the rug was disintegrated and funky looking, so I tossed it.

The lesson I learned was that just because the rug is indoor outdoor does not mean that it can be left out throughout harsh winters. The next set of outdoor rugs I bought were brought in for the winter and have lasted a lot longer than their poorly maintained counterparts.

If you find your outdoor rugs have stains on them, you can easily clean them with a hose and let them dry thoroughly. Outdoor rugs can be really resilient and long lasting, so long as they are cared for correctly.

Until next time, if you have any questions about your outdoor rugs, just let me know. I have been living rugs for decades now and really do enjoy answering questions and generally helping out.

Round Rug

A round rug can really make a great impact on the home. The home is often a curious combination of right angles that are challenging to break up by adding another rectangle (such as a rectangular rug). That is where a round rug comes in so nicely.

A round rug can look great beneath a square table, or accent an entryway nicely. Since we have been in business for so long, our assortment of round rugs is extensive and includes rugs from 3x3 round all the way up to 10x10 round. When considering a round rug beneath a table make sure that you pull the chairs out all the way before you measure for the size of rug you need.

We often receive a round rug back for exchange because it is to small. Be careful to consider this when looking at a round rug since the chair can fall off the edge of the rug, making for an awkward experience for a guest at best, or possibly the chair tipping over.

As you consider a round rug, take a look at some of these items that we feature this month from our friends at Oriental Weavers.

Until next time, thank you for reading, and have a lovely summer.

Wes.
